What it's supposed to be, and what it looks like, are two entirely separate things. That's Mark IV on the left. It showed up in Halo Wars. It's now become, more or less, the default Mark IV. It shows up on book covers, and in comics. In the middle is what was in The Package. On the right is Mark VI. The Mark IV in The Package bears almost no resemblance at all to the Mark IV it should. Instead it stylistically draws from Mark VI. Different helmet, chest, shoulders, arm, leg, armor be damned. The differences are minimal at best, and clearly still derive their lineage from Mark VI instead of IV.
