: is IMO unsatisfactory. It's not their fault, though. Bungie could've
: avoided all this by compressing the game's timeline into a day and having
: the Autumn in space, but alas.

Some of that was already in one of the novels re-release's Adjuncts that the Autumn was in orbit being worked on and that the boys on the outer hull could see that something was happening groundside, though they weren't being told what. I still think it can be made plausible.
