No, not just the time frame. Go re-read the last couple of chapters (37 and the epilogue). Between the Covie ships that pursue them when they leave the system to the blockade that is smashing every UNSC ship in orbit, I don't see how the Autumn could a) make a u-turn in slipspace, make it back to Reach, get past the Covie fleet, and land on the surface without being destroyed, and b) stay on the surface long enough to succesfully dry-dock, make any needed repairs, and wait on someone to deliver a package they really didn't even need (Cortana already had the nav data) without getting glassed. Trying to fit the last two chapters of TFoR with the Pillar of Autumn stage from the game is, to use the old cliche, like trying fit a round peg into a square hole... and the peg is a foot across and the hole is the size of a quarter. : It's interesting that Bungie originally envisioned it in space it seems.
It really, really should've been in space in the game. Being in orbital dry dock could possibly work, but it'd have to be for a very short window, i.e., no longer than the Savannah was.
