: I didn't even know he worked on Halo 3. I just remember Robert McLees and, to : a lesser extent, Luke Smith being the writers. So O'Brien has two notable : credits under his belt, one as story editor and one as writer. That being : said, I did have my fair share of complaints about Halo 3's writing. : Remember how I always complained about the first half of the game being : mostly filler, or how the Covenant civil war was severly downplayed? I : wasn't the biggest fan of how Halo 3's story played out, though in its : defense unlike Reach it didn't have massive retcons that erased large : chunks of the expanded universe. ...and also included large chunks of the expanded universe as well. People seem to ignore the fact that Reach introduced Spartan IIIs and (properly) Dr. Halsey to the game-focused crowd.
