I didn't even know he worked on Halo 3. I just remember Robert McLees and, to a lesser extent, Luke Smith being the writers. So O'Brien has two notable credits under his belt, one as story editor and one as writer. That being said, I did have my fair share of complaints about Halo 3's writing. Remember how I always complained about the first half of the game being mostly filler, or how the Covenant civil war was severly downplayed? I wasn't the biggest fan of how Halo 3's story played out, though in its defense unlike Reach it didn't have massive retcons that erased large chunks of the expanded universe.
