I mean, how couldn't you?" Wow. So I was responding to the first half of your post without even reading the second half, only to see that you typed out the quote I just recalled. So yeah, you're right. I completely forgot about that line. I was mistaken about him keeping information from us, but that doesn't change the fact that he was vague, and if he goes and gives the Master Chief all sorts of random info through the Terminals, that completely blows away this understanding. It even blows away that quote and that scene and the significance of the moment. In other words, I hope the Terminals are strictly there as some meta form of knowledge and information to the user. Unfortunately, given the wording in that little clip, it appears that Guilty Spark is speaking to the Master Chief, which again makes all of this whack.
