In Response To: Re: Halo [R]Evolved - Assault on the Control Room (Jaydee) : As for Fire Team Zulu, who may the Sergeant be? In the original, it was A : Johnson (I loved his "You're a MARINE, so ACT like one, Damn : it!"), though since this version would be making corrections, I : assume he'd be someone else? In Halo 1, there wasn't a single in-game reference to Avery Johnson. His name didn't even come up until the end credits, and the way he's used in-game, able to die and often interchangeable with the white sarge model, demonstrates that, in Halo 1, he was not a continuous character but a stock unit. There is nothing to correct, and the particular identity of that sargeant is, as far as I know, largely irrelevant. (This argument extends to all the other silliness about Halo 1 stock "characters" such as "Chips Dubbo" that some people are convinced are continuous. The continuity comes because Bungie largely reused the same stock character designs between games, which in the case of Pete Stacker has become something of a running joke thanks to the voice actor/applied character name equivalence.)
