In Response To: Re: Halo 1 images are disingenuous (ArteenEsben) : The point is that the system in the previous games is fundamentally different : from Reach. Spread and bloom aren't the same. In the previous games, you : can pulse weapons at their maximum rate-of-fire without the spread : increasing after each shot. In Reach, weapons get increasingly inaccurate : if you fire them at the maximum rate. For example, each bullet in the BR : has different spread, but that spread is not affected by how fast you fire : the gun. This is true, but in previous Halo games, the weapons' rate of fire have been artificially limited. The BR doesn't fire as fast as you can pull the trigger. Nor did the CE pistol. In Reach, you can fire as fast as you want, but the trade of is inaccuracy. Bungie has merely added another layer of depth to the gameplay, making it more skillful. Isn't this exactly what most people were arguing for? More skillful gameplay?
