In Response To: Re: On reticule bloom and spreads (Rehn) : Ok, I personally love bloom, and am glad they are implementing in in : Reach(though kill times need to be quickened as they are much too slow as : of now, either through speeding the bloom cooldown or increasing damage), : but this "test" is wrong. : First: The ONLY way there is that much spread on the pistol in Halo:CE is if
: Second: Why you used the H2 pistol is beyond me, the BR was the replacement
The H2 BR has no bloom. In fact, an unscoped BR is more accurate than an unscoped sniper rifle at the same range:
Not only have Bungie employees have said that making the BR group this accurate in the "Big Patch" was a mistake, the BR is not this accurate at all ranges in Halo 3. The point of these images was to show that spread and bloom has been in previous Halos. Bloom is definitely in 2 and 3, and spread is in Halo 1. If you don't want spread on your DMR or magnum, slow down your firing rate and you can get Halo 2 BR groupings at-range. Or would people prefer Bungie take out the bloom but lock the firing rate of the DMR - which would be incredibly slow? Bungie slowed down the pistol for Halo 3 and people didn't like it because pistols are generally a "fast fire" weapon like the H2 and ODST one.
