In Response To: Wow. That actually got me excited about this. (Duncan) : I, too, got a bad taste in my mouth when I heard it was Activision (but : unlike some I didn't think it was bad enough to complain about on the : forums :P). : But when you put it like that, this really does seem like a big win for

Everyone who has mentioned this isn't the end is absolutely right. I agree completely. This deal does do them a lot of good in a lot of ways. I would never argue that point. But for me, none of that changes the fact that it's a deal signed with Activision. I cannot in good conscience give that company any of my money. Outside of Call of Duty 2 (which I enjoyed for about three months and never touched again... shows how well that game aged...) and Geometry Wars 2 (because it was Geometry Wars, and it wasn't until after I bought it that I remembered Activision had recently bought Bizarre Creations) I don't own any of their published games. Not that they have many high profile titles to choose from. Activision is a company I neither respect nor care about. So while I wish the Bungie guys the best in the world, and hope everything goes wonderfully and they walk away better and stronger, it will unfortunately be without me, because as I said, Activision cannot have my hard earned money. So for me, there exist only two endpoints.
I love Bungie too much to quit on them, and I hate Activision too much to do anything nice for them.
