Halo 1's grenades should be removed

In Response To: Re: Why change the grenades? (Avateur) They just took to damn long to explode. The game tries to cater to people who are new to the game by having the grenades take 5 seconds to explode. Bungie should really think about patching the game and either making the grenade explode more quickly, or just remove it from the game! Sarcasm aside, the reason the Halo 1 grenade was effective was because the blast radius was massive. It was a huge, meaty explosion (Please don't say "That's what she said). From what I've seen, Halo Reach's grenades have huge, meaty explosions as well. Maybe that is the balance. The thing is that you are critiquing a system that you have yet to try out. I hate sprint because you move faster than everyone else! It is unfair! The balance is that while you are running you can't shoot and that you cannot do it constantly. Rechargeable invisibility is stupid and was only implemented into the game to cater to noobs who like to camp. People are just going to exploit this. The balance is that it messes up the users radar, and that it most likely has a long recharge time. Grenades now have a big light on them which warn people of their impending death. This was only added to cater to noobs who can't tell where grenades land. The balance is probably that the grenade blast is HUGE, which looks to be true if you look at the latest multiplayer trailer. So the moral of this story is not to judge a feature until you have either seen it in action or have tried it yourself. And now I will leave you with this final statement: HBO: Big meaty explosions!
