The Beta was one month over 3 years ago, of which I maybe played a grand total of maybe I week of (if my playing was non stop 24 hours a day). I can't remember hardly ANY details of the Beta, I went and watched my customs footage on Valhalla and was seeing weapon placements that changed, non existent equipment animations, a trip mine that was useful, water effects that were apparently incomplete... the list goes on and on. There's also the fact that when I played the Beta, it was on a 4:3 ratio monitor. Fullscreen. Not Widescreen. Looking back at my footage, the hammer is obscured 90% of the time by the score in the bottom right corner. Easily missed. If I was playing Widescreen like in the linked video though, that would've been in my field of view all the time. So there's two great reasons I don't remember it being there. It was a week over three years ago, and it was obscured when I was playing. I guarantee you if that had made it through to the retail version, I'd be complaining about it now that I have a Widescreen tv.
