Ok let me try and explain a few things. First the Xbox, the console itself will actually be losing money, quite a bit of it as it were. Microsoft will be making it's money off of game licenses by third parties. Halo will not be bundled with the Xbox, though I would not be suprised if a demo of it and several other games was included. Ok maybe you missed the whole buyout thing, basically it was stated throughout the buyout that Bungie would retain rights to decide what platform they developed for. Most of the control that Bungie lost was in marketing and distribution of their games. I do not know the specifics of the agreement but this point was made clear throughout, look up the news archives for interveiws and you should find a slew of them with this mentioned. Now fast forward a bit, there have been constant rumors of Halo being Xbox only, each time in the past Matt Soell the PR representitive from Bungie to their fans has stated that these rumors are not true. I don't know if he will do so this time, if I were him I think I'd be awful sick of saying it. Unless Seattle is nuked to bedrock after the Xbox launch and before Halo is released in it's PC/Mac form Halo will not be an Xbox exclusive. -Cunbelin | |
