Another thing might be the live service to purchase the maps. All the old maps are free now, and I'm not sure how purchasing through the old system works. These maps will cost SOMETHING, and if the old live purchasing system doesn't work with the 360 then that's a big problem right there. A solution would be to release another map CD with the maps on it. As far as the xbox changing for support, you're right it hasnt changed in that manner, but now it's such a vulnerable platform, that releasing more maps onto it so they can be hacked and modded onto wouldn't be the best idea. The argument goes both ways...
