In Response To: Hrm. That does not sound good. (iJosh) : I can see where you're coming from, but also remember: Bungie doesn't want : this. They want the maps on the original Xbox, and they want to keep fans : happy. At least, that's the stance they took when they first decided to : make them. I don't think it would be a wise move for them to pull out the : maps now...they've already said they were coming. To pull them out now : means you have more angry, 360-owning Halo fans. Yeah, it would be a waste of money to cancel them now. Just that, if they had known this, or we had known this, they probably wouldn't have bothered. I'm planning on getting Halo 3 for the 360, and a 360 - this is why this decision seems silly to me, on MS's part. Yeah, I can see the marketing department's side: they want to boost 360 sales during a normally "slow" part of the year. But everybody that's going to be buying these maps already has a 360 or will get a 360 anyway for Halo 3. They're not really gaining any new console sales out of doing this. In fact, they will probably lose money since Original Xbox players won't be able to pay for it, even if they release them on disc.
