In Response To: Bungie and the H2 Maps splitting MM (politics) (FyreWulff) Errr... or: -Most Halo players are on 360s already. -Halo 3 will be on the new console, and the maps and beta are working as promos for the new game. -Microsoft is trying to phase out Xbox players for a lot of reasons, including Xbox players who are still using various hacked methods to cheat / grief over XBL, which can't be done on 360 (or certainly not as much). This scheme isn't necessarily as nefarious as people want to assume since Microsoft is involved. Yes, it would be nice for Xbox players to get the new maps. It was also, in some ways, be nice if they (er, some of them anyway) didn't. -Bungie gets Halo 3 promotion. -Microsoft gets new console promotion. -You get (a little) less cheating and another great reason to buy a killer console.
