recompiled on PowerPC = easier for OSX port?

So, I wonder if getting Halo 2 to run on a PowerPC chip is a shortcut for making it run on MacOS? Of course, programming for a console is different to programming for a computer with an operating system running over the top (yeah?), but I reckon this might be a step they'd need to do in any case.

Recompilation could be interesting, in that respect.
