But isnt that generally how these decisions are made? I live in Australia and the fact is that the current government is the most conservative there has ever been here (lowering speed limits to the ridiculous, removing playground equipment in case of being sued by parents of injured children, banning parents from taking photos of their kids at swimming pools due to paedophilia) and its this government that banned games like GTA3 and Manhunt. I dont want to sound apathetic but the voice of ignorance is not only louder but belongs to the power that denies us these games. The public barely gets a look in and thats just the way it is. Some of the examples above have been overruled due to common sense and I guess that, combined with the increasing acceptance of video games as a mainstream form of entertainment, serves as our ray of hope.
