Well put. Banning of video games is a conservative agenda, no matter which party supports it. Just because Lieberman and Tipper support banning and warning labels doesn't make it a liberal agenda. It is, by definition "conservative". They are Democrats, pursuing a conservative agenda. Don't mistake the two. Certainly videogame banning has no place in a true Liberal ideology. But, like the stem cell debate (and far more trivial), videogame banning will find support from both parties. Keep in mind, a lot of the worlds progress stems from liberal thinking (through out history and today). Abolition of slavery, womens equality, de-segregation, environmental laws, food safety laws..etc. "Liberal" has become a dirty word, but it's because people take for granted what's been accomplished. -
