my view on rampantcy

here is my look at it. an AI would become rampant when it becomes obsessed with its primary function. let me just throw out a couple explains
-from the movie I robot, the main building AI, and its three laws.
-from resident evil, the AI that locks done the hive when the t virus is loose
-from jimmy neutron (its a got a good example) the nanobots with their function to fix errors,
-any movie where the computer puts it primary fuction over the lives of people

in all these example, the fact that this AI had a rule they must follow caused them to become rampant in doing so, by having a rule it cannot break, i can become rampant in trying to achieve it. I robot was a great example how even a law like not harming people can turn around. however, from i robot we have another robot named sonny. sonny has the ablility to ingore the three laws, to make its own choices. Cortana is very much like sonny, wouldn't you agree. sonny can not become rampant cause there is nothing for him to become rampant about.

anyways, that is just my take on it.
