I've actually done this, but haven't had the time to package them up. Here they are without any tags or artwork.
The spaced-joined file is a CUE file next to a single M4A with an extra 1.5 seconds between each track. Might be useful if anyone wants to burn it to CD.

And the script that I used to create them. Just place the lossless QT2.0 tracks in a folder called ALAC and run this from directly above that directory.

Basically, I:
1) decoded the lossless to WAVE
2) duped the mono to stero (otherwise shntool wouldn't process them)
3) used shnfix to ensure each ended on a CD sector (this adds a minuscule amount of silence)
4) normalize
5) convert back to M4A
6) tack on 1.5 seconds of silence to the end of each
7) build a CUE file
8) join the tracks to a single file
9) convert to M4A
The script uses shntool, alac, sox, and normalize (all from MacPorts), as well as afconvert.
Easy peasy :-)
