As for this particular debate, I recommend it stop. It looks to me like it’s just to turn into a big mac vs. pc fuckfest. I suggest that both Trax and Goran get their last word in, and leave it at that.

And Trax, if you really are itching to create some maps for the PC, I’m sorry to say that Obed is your only choice, at least until an SDL compatible Pfhorge is released. However, there is plenty of very useful documentation on it. Head on over to the Battle Cat’s page of Obed tips to get started.

Now, I use both a pc and a mac, and I will tell you that I have been able to create a simple, multi-level map with obed, using the standard infinity shapes, images etc. and got it to work with Aleph One SDL. So if you really are interested, you should know that it can be done. If you want any help, just ask.

As for the original question that sparked this debate, I don’t see why they don’t just release Mark’s updates for the OSX, and then just say something along the lines of “SDL conversion pending.” JMHO.
