Which helps make my point. Multiple times I have posted that efforts would be much better spent on importing and editing tools than on writing a new graphics engine. Yes, of course it would be great to have an updated Marathon engine that takes advantage of more modern gaming possibilities, but the engines already exist - they go by names such as UT, Q3 and perhaps even D3. The problem is that there are no editing tools for these engines on the Mac and that the porting existing Marathon maps to one of these engines basically involves starting from scratch. This is the main reason M:R has taken so long - only people with PC's doing the port, and they basically had to start over. Give us even a rudimentary OS X editor along the lines of Pfhorte for one of these engines and give it the ability to import existing maps, textures and so on and you'll have a real winner.
