Sounds good to me.
Races: Pfhor, S'pht, Human, Jjaro, W'rkncacnter, Drinniol, Nahk, Nar, etc.
Characters: The Player Character, Durandal, Leela, Tycho, Blake, Tfear, etc.
Units: Bobs, Fighters, Compilers, MADDs, etc.
I like the idea of using "Groups" as a more informal version of "Organizations". There wouldn't be much in there, but it's somewhere to put the few articles that would go in there.
As for cyborgs... maybe mention them under "Technologies"? (And of course, some of them will appear in Units [the tanks] and Characters [the player] and Races [the S'pht] too). But for an article about cybernetic organisms in general, that seems like something that would go in a technology article, alongside things like "FTL drive" and such.
