OK, it looks like the engine is not calling a certain ResetFieldOfView function on switching levels. I'm not sure why, but it's definitely not something that was overlooked, someone put the code in to keep it from doing it on purpose. I'm guessing maybe if you pick up a walleye vision, then jump to the next level, they think you should still have it? But that totally breaks the FOV MML.

I don't think maintaining that behavior is as important as getting the MML FOV settings working on level change. It also won't cause OOS or film playback problems to change it...the FOV may just be wrong in the exceedingly rare case you have a walleye vision when changing levels. But, I'm going to post to the marathon-devel list and find out what people there think.
