On another note, I was playng Myth II and III the other day, and started digging around MBO, and found a quote from some AGM poster regarding the Player:

"If we "are destiny" then perhaps our niche in the universe is to keep any one intelligence (except the Jjaro who disappeared) from becoming too powerful. We do this by being at the right place and the right time to upset the balance of power."

Now does that fit in with the Thoth/Yi Jing theory or what? Going back to old assumptions- the Jjaro are the one's obssessed with order and cyclic loops. The S'pht program Thoth with Jjaro technology in mind. The Player is designed with the same means. Both end up being instruments of balance.

In a sense then, the Player meeting Thoth- while it seems rather absurd and trivial in M2, is likely the most coincidental meeting in the history of the entire galaxy.
