Then again, who says that after Aye Mak Sicur, we didn't teleport back to All Roads and do the same thing in that timeline? You might say that Double Aught implied by omission that that didn't happen. But all other explanations for the M2 Final Screen are similarly contrived.

One part of the story that I'm still not clear on: How hard is it to activate the containment field and save a particular timeline? Is it enough for the (mute?) Marine to convince someone to teleport him to the station; or does he also have to retrieve the two pattern chips from somewhere else?

Does this refer specifically to the Acme Station timeline? I thought that ended just before Waterloo Waterpark Reprise; nothing about the player being captured.
