: Of course, I suppose M:Infinity's style actaully accomidates that notion- as
: in, you can just ignore it from the story since everything happens
: non-lineraly and simultaniousley with the conclusion of M2. So again, M2
: is my definitive conclusion.

You along with a lot of us. Poll after poll has repeatedly shown M2 to be most people's favorite. There are a few who find the alternate timeline approach of Infinity to be more sophisticated, but as much as I like the alternate timeline scenarios in some sci-fi series and movies (e.g. Star Trek), Infinity is just too disjointed to me. I also have a serious problem with alternate timelines and backwards time travel in general, as they create far more problems than they solve in terms of the plot. In the reality of physics, although general relativity does not preclude time travel, relativity is better viewed as a mathematical model rather than physical law or even hypothesis. We can't travel arbitrarily in time the way we walk back and forth in a room. Multiple timelines (i.e. everything that can happen, does happen) leads to an infinite, yet ever increasing number of realities. Time is not a coordinate but a property, and a local one at that, but I digress . . .

There have been a number of hypotheses of what happened after Infinity, and a number of 3rd party scenarios have attempted to deal with this. We had a brief discussion on this in the Rubicon Volunteers Series and some of us more or less concluded that the events of Infinity basically served to allow the M2 timeline to continue as if Infinity never happened. For an alternative take on this, stay tuned for WMaiD, which presents a significantly different approach, but I'll let Blayne handle that one.
