In Response To: Forerunner tech (Khaim)

: Despite everyone talking about the Forerunner, no one has yet to post a list
: of everything we really know about them. So I decided to see what I knew
: the Forerunner had, and boy was I supprised...

: 1) They have massive construction abilities. They did build Halo, after all.
: The raw tech to make it isn't that high, (either humans or Covenant
: probably have the right equipment to make Halo) but the sheer logistics,
: supply, etc of making something that huge is staggering. I think it
: probably masses as much as a small moon.

: 2) They have power sources we can't even describe. The sentinels prove that-
: they have a continuous beam laser that is powerful enough to hurt organic
: materials easily (at least), plus the porpulsion system (which is probably
: not anti-grav, but more on that later). They must have a large power
: source to run that, yet they're only about 1m³. That's a really small
: space for an industrial-sized power supply.

: 3) They have what I think is an inertial drive, i.ei reactionless. You don't
: need anything to push off. Not only that, they have it tiny. This I get
: from the very last scene of the game, after the credits- we see 343GS
: still alive, and MOVING. How can he move? He's in vacuum, so no air to
: use, and Halo is gone, so he can't use anit-grav either.

: 4) They have the kill-organics-in-several-light-years thing. I don't know how
: it works, so I can't go into detail.

: Note I left off some things that are advanced, but only it the real world,
: like gravity generators (all through Halo!) and really small AI.

: Comments welcome.
