Since the notion of "AR starts" or "DMR starts" is likely a non-issue now for the most part due to custom loadouts, I just hope that if someone chooses to start with the AR, Storm rifle, or Suppressor they can still compete against those who pick the DMR, BR, Carbine, or Lightrifle. Reach did go a long way towards making automatics capable of competing against mid-range rifles at closer ranges, but the AR and DMR (the most common weapons of their niche) were nearly a 1:1 match in terms of minimum kill time, and I felt the AR and other automatics could have used more punch (say, 16 rounds for the AR to kill instead of 19). So, I hope the automatics are more powerful than the mid-range rifles at closer ranges, and can suppress rifle users at mid range when using short, controlled bursts.
