Sure there were fears expressed by Blomkamp etc in the piece that the creative vision might have been a sticking point .. but with talented creatives on board (jackson, blomkamp etc) and successful producers backing it there would have been a way to see things resolved and continue with making the film.. from reading the article the straw that seemed to break the camel's back was unwillingness to review the deals and % profits in place: Microsoft and others involved in the production were not willing to compromise on money issues so everybody walked.... I don't see what that has to do compromising the artistic vision and "doing it right" which is what I assume you mean.. making it the best halo it could be.. not just the most successful cash wise
