In Response To: Ewww (davidfuchs) : District 9 showed why a Blomkamp Halo would have been bad. Halo has always : been cinematic, bright, and clean, not grunged up shakycam. The Library, 343 Guilty Spark (original, not Anniversary version), Two Betrayals, Maw, Outskirts, Quarantine Zone, High Charity, Crow's Nest, Floodgate, and Cortana were not bright and clean. The flood levels were quite gory, gritty, and dark (relatively). Plus we we had things like Jenkin's helmet cam that would have fit in Blomkamp's Distric 9 style. Bungie also reportedly liked his vision, and I thought District 9 had a lot of visuals that would have worked well in a Halo movie. To each his own, but I loved the direction he was going with it.
