I second that. Halo 3's ending was the best of them all, in my opinion. I love the cinematography of the view of the Ark being destroyed from the open rear door of the ship, just when the Chief stands up and is framed by that destruction as he stands at the pedestal in the ship.

That and the fact that the Chief enters cryo sleep, climbing into a cryo pod just as he climbed out of one to begin the first Halo game. That way the game makes a full circle, or a halo, if you will. :)

Best ending ever, in my opinion.
