In Response To: Re: TU (General Vagueness) : The fact that the new gametypes : enable bleed-through for everything and make sword block the way it was : before suggests to me at least a vague idea of what they want to do (which : hopefully is be consistent). Consistency? This TU is anything but. : Do you really want to bring armor lock into this? Doesn't need to be armour lock. Could be OS, could be bubble shield, could be BULL-BLAM ROCKET DEFLECTION I WAS AIMING RIGHT AT HIM! Point is it's very multi-faceted. : I don't think it'll be significantly more fractured than it is now, and 343i
They still kinda are giving Anniversary it's own multiplayer though: brining back the 3-shot pistol and such for a specific gametype. Hell I thought that's what Bleed-through was for! Guess I was wrong. We'll have Release, Zero, 85% and Anniversary ways just to play '4v4 Team Slayer' come November 15th without changing any other settings. : Why is that? Because if you make huge changes its harder to tell what change throws which bit of the gameplay off. It's harder to adjust to than with fewer changes. You know how grenades were thought to be OP in the Beta? Bungie's fix was to reduce grenade damage by 1 point. 1 point! That's it. And that change meant your health would recharge to full after getting hit by a grenade rather than only 2/3s. Fundamentally changing the way melee (especially) and bullet damage works against shields is a huge change with a wide array of knock-on effects. I don't know if they did change the damage for the pistol at all but that weapon is now a 4 shot kill, melee is now way more powerful in concert with all weapons since you need to use your weapons far less so that a single melee will kill. etc. So, two points: I don't think it was a good idea to bring bleedthrough back.
: Then you should be asking them for whatever gametype it is you want. Ah yes, because it's their job to do what we want. Lol, I'm never gonna let them live that comment down :P
