In Response To: I wonder... (Louis Wu) Okay, I just tested this out on my brothers box (Which has not been connected to Xbox Live in months, so it doesn't have the title update installed) and found something very interesting. Apparently this glitch has been in the game from the beginning, but the Reach health system made it almost impossible to see. To test this, I took away peoples everyone's shields, upped their health to 150% and turned the damage modifier to 75%. This way, a melee wouldn't kill them, it would take their health down to 1 bar. I meleed the person, had him pick up the health pack, and the second melee killed him (But surprisingly only when I meleed him in the head. Melees to the head seem to do more damage). I tried it a second time and was able to recreate it. So just as a breakdown (With no shields, 150% damage resistance, and 75% damage modifier): 1 melee(head)>Health pack>1 melee(Head) = Death
So it seems that this has been a problem since the beginning, but since bleed-through was removed from Reach, it was practically invisible. It never saw the light of day because if someone doesn't have shields and they get meleed, they are going to die. If they have any shields, their health won't sustain any damage. This separation prevents this glitch from becoming a problem. The title update removes this barrier and thus allows this glitch to become a problem.
