In Response To: Why is Cortana so important in Halo Reach? (Mirel) : A big deal is made about her leading the PoA to the Halo ring, but how is : that important really? The humans won the war because of differences : within the Covenant caused them to split. Humans didn't really have an : active role in it. : I'm trying to remember all the games, from beginning to end and everything
: It turns out she was, yes, but for other reasons than people might have had
I'm pretty sure in the books they made a big deal about not having ANY of our AI captured. Too much valuable intel. And Cortana is the best AI out there so it's pretty much out of the question. Could probably extract Earth's location from her, too. But that was the books...it doesn't make the distinction in game much if at all
