So, just the flashbacks? Well...the game would definitely be shorter and work more like the last two LotR movies as we hop from character to character. IDK how that would pan out. You play as a character for a level, then you switch to another character, and so on. The game might need more levels in that situation. But...you would lose key elements of the mood and visual style. The whole idea of loneliness and isolation from your comrades is out. No noir style and detective element [no saxaphone :(]. No exploration through New Mombasa. Basically, everything that made ODST something different (mainly the noir style and elements) would no longer exist.
