So what does this mean for Reach?

In Response To: The ODST Narrative Structure and what went wrong (Cody Miller) Before I read this post, dating back to a while after I saw that first "cinematic trailer" (where Noble 6 is introduced to the world) or whatever you want to call it of Reach, I had a conversation about whose story would be more important, or if we would be getting an ODST clone. We have the whole squad dynamic, except this time we'll have that dynamic throughout the entire game. Our guy is going to be totally customizable and apparently have some interesting background to his story, but how much of the focus is going to be placed on Carter and Kat? Can Bungie effectively flesh out all of their characters and make them truly interesting while still meeting everything you just brought up? Is Noble 6 just a shell to act as a camera that fires bullets as you follow the story of the squad itself? The overall story of the game may still be unbelievably awesome, but when looking directly at how the story as it pertains to the squad plays out, I'd really like it if Noble 6 wasn't just some cast off nobody. I'm liking this whole lone wolf, classified, possible top secret assassin for Ackerson vibe I'm getting, and I hope everything gets explored.
