I've hypothesized that John is able to receive Flood messages due to the bits of Flood matter in his blood. These are the aftermath of an Infection Form's attack on him in Halo: The Flood. What if anyone with Flood bits in their blood could be contacted through telepathy? Cortana could then contact someone to expedite their rescue. I'm thinking the Arbiter or Half-Jaw: they're almost sure to have been attacked by an Infection Form at some point. If Cortana can harness Flood telepathy, can she also control the Flood? I wouldn't mind an army of the undead under her control. I wonder if the Forerunner ever researched acquiring the Flood's telepathic ability?
