They're an invading force from another galaxy with completely unique biology in every way truly 'alien' to our galaxy. Don't know how they got here. Planet G617 must have been on the outskirts of the galactic rim and that was simply the first point of contact between Forerunner expeditions and a new form of life determined not indigenous to that planet, nor the galaxy. : 4) Do the Flood truly have telepathy?
