That whole cutscene was shown elsewhere and it didn't have as long of a pause as in this new... thing, and I'm pretty sure the SPARTANs aren't trying to sound like the MC, they're just trying to sound awesome (and possibly succeeding). It now appears the Flood were not on Harvest and they might have a good reason for the UNSC not knowing about them. It was also mentioned earlier that the demo might not have been made from the final build of the game, so there might be gameplay differences. Also I don't think Serena is a Cortana clone; she wears clothes and has a different accent, face, and longer, more human hair, and I think I can see some differences in personality already. I would think the character to worry about is Captain Cutter, who seems like a cross between Captain Keyes and Admiral Hood, but he's showing some uniqueness too, and some people seem to really like him.
