In Response To: Beautifully stupid (Miguel Chavez) gee i wonder who said that :) but so far you're right. the cinematics ARE pretty, but the voice acting is just horrible. doctor mctits' line in the trailer, "nothing ventured [huge pause] nothing gained" just kills me. and i hate how the spartan in the trailer is trying SO HARD to sound like the MC. why can't he just sound like another guy? and why is the AI a cortana clone? all of these things have been mentioned ad-nauseum, but the point i'm making is that i thing they mar the cutscenes enough that even if one were considering buying the game ONLY FOR THE PLOT, it would probably not be a worthwhile investment. i've pretty much decided that i'm going to rent it. the AI is laughably easy (on heroic for chrissake), so i don't think i'll have a problem returning it on time. there's going to be no replay value to the game (there's no way i'd ever play it online), and it seems unlikely that ensemble will release campaign DLC (seeing as how they're kaput and all). granted, immediately after seeing the trailer, i was momentarily wowed into thinking that it will be worth it to buy. but now that the CG buzz has worn off and i've awoken from my lucasfilm'd dream with a headache and an unknown spartan in my bed, i've firmly decided not to buy. : Too true! : Unless the gameplay lives up to my satisfaction, there's no way I'm rewarding
