: I agree with most of your points. However, you mentioned that there was large
: parts of the story you expected to be there and they simpily were not. You
: must understand that Bungie does not go by the novels, the novels go by
: Bungie. I loved every bit of Halo 2. The ending simpily made me excited
: for Halo 3. There will be a Halo 3, with out doubt. It has been said that
: Bungie's next project will NOT be Halo 3. It is simpily to early to
: speculate. I am still enjoying Halo 2 at the moment. There are a number of
: good games coming out from now and Halo 3 anyways. I am concerned however
: of Xbox Next's backwards compatibility.

I hope Xbox 2 is backward compatible. But then again, why would you get rid of ur old Xbox anyway? And making it backward compatible would take away from creating a more powerful system. Anyway, the books are basically written BY Bungie. Eric Trautmann worked very close with Bungie to write the Halo Bible. The Halo Bible has every piece of Halo info that is or will be in the story. Eric Trautmann then worked very closely with Eric Nylund and William C. Dietz so they could write the books with the story that Bungie had wirtten. The Halo Story is already written. Like The Matrix. The entire Matrix story was written before the first movie was made. Now I'm not 100 percent sure whether its the same case with Halo but I have read numerous times that the entire Halo story has already been made. My opinion: If they (and it is nearly inevitable) made a Halo 3, I say that Bungie should forget about the people who havnt read the novels and make a game that ties completely in with the novels. Becuase people who havn't read at least one of the books by now don't deserve to play halo in the first place. But I would slightly more rather get a 4th halo novel than Halo 3 only because Bungie does care about those worthless people who havnt read the books. So Halo 3 wouldnt really tie in with the novels. But a 4th Halo novel would be gauranteed to have the story in it. All hail Bungie... and all hail me, The Almighty Ibeechu!
