Man some good reading in this thread. Almost made me get out my popcorn machine. Flames didn't get high enough though.

*snaps fingers and shrugs*

Anyway- I've never been to a tourney, but man would I love it. However, I'm 29, with wife, child, job, ect. ect. and, well...yeah. Anyway, I think it would be a blast and may try one sometime.

My favorite Halo experience involves large quantities of coffee, comfy chair, loud music, and single player.

However, I've been to quite a few lan parties as well. I was usually the 'old timer' but still had a ball whippin up on the youngsters ;-O

I've played a few lans with people who strongly resembled anal cavaties, but still had fun. Man some people get so ticked off- you know- competitive and all- but I just have fun playin the game. Good lord- half the time I play I get pounded, but so what. I still have fun, and each headshot still feels sweet.

*Ducain's pistol rings out- body falls to the ground all the way across HEH*

"Man I hate you Ducain!" *many curse words follow*

*Ducain smiles*

I've actually started laughing before because of folks giving me grief during a game. I thought it was hilarious. They didn't, but I can normally get em to smile after a nice bout of good-natured ribbing.

If I went to a tourney with a team and had the chance to play against a fantastic team (TDT or the like), of course I would expect to get the royal hurting applied to my derrier, but man it would be cool just to give it a shot. I've become a better player by playing some folks who were (and are) complete nerds *Ducain looks pious* who play all the time and are really good. Didn't bother me. At times I would even stop them after a game and ask them to show me a pointer or two.

Anyway- Halo is 'da stuph'.
