Halo tournaments are a established gathering now. : You wouldn't sign up for a 3v3 basketball tournament and throw the balls : out of the court because you sucked. Just imagine somebody doing that! I : can understand why you met some mean, disgruntled and bitter individuals : now... : It's not to fun to them playing a game that isn't tournament worthy. You were : wasting the TV time. There were other teams present that would of loved to : practice some HH or Damny. You have to understand that because of distance : a lof of these teams don't get many chances to practice on a LAN all : together at once. BG CTF also takes too long. When other teams are playing : short lived matches you were the one that looks like the asshole. BG CTF : will probably be completely removed from tournament play after what : happened to StK at AGP3. : No, it's just fun for them to play competively. There's a certain level of : respect and comradere after finishing a close tournament match between two : teams. You'll talk about the map control, tactics, and cool shots you made : afterwords. : Please don't take this as a flame post. I'm one of THEM ( mig... ) but I'm : also one of you. I like umcompetative play a lot. It's fun not worrying : about K/D rations and spawn camping, but it's also fun struggling against : a good team for map control. : I'm kinda sad that this post made the frontpage. I think all it will do is : widen the gap between Halo creeds. I bet a lot of you will not go to a : tournament now when it really is a fun and exciting event. Even if you : suck too. Remember Team HBO had a blast at 50k and we did terrible. We : played a match against DM too and lost 50-8. JYNX and I were completely : shut out too, not one kill. Look at the pics. There are TONS of smiles : everywhere. At Halo 50K2 my brother talked to this kid's father about how much his child plays Halo. He said, "When I leave for work I see him playing and when I get home he is still playing." Some people are just nuts, literally I'd go crazy if I played the same thing that much - everyday. I just play for fun, as it can be seen from my crazy Halo skill. I can totally understand the tension if you paid to go to one of these tournments - it's not about having fun then - it's about winning. You can't expect people to be nice when they are losing. I can relate to what you are saying, 'Nosolee, ...all of it. :D
