Spawn camping is a strategy, huh? I don't think so. Poor placement of respawn locations is a fault of the programmers who designed the map, not the fault of the people getting killed because of it. What one needs is a way to have the entire team spawn AT ONCE and proceed to pistol-snipe the little MF'er with the Sniper Rifle. Of course, that's on PC. Haven't really done it much on XBC.

Sh!t talking is almost a mandate of the game. Since we chainsawed people wielding rocket launchers in DOOM or dropped a mortar round between the legs of that guy sniping from the hill in Tribes, smack talk has been an integral part of the game. But it's only amusing when it's done in a sense of fun. Most 'talkers' I meet online tend to spew forth obscenities with even more vitriol after I've put a few rounds between their eyes repeatedly. The 'good' kind just suck it up and make amusing comments. Most just curse. Well, it's easier if you're on a friendly clan server, just don't expect to win the team games if they are all together. ;)

Of course people talk smack on forums... happens here, even. It's the smack talk by people you DON'T know that makes it a little less friendly, which I think the original guy was talking about.

Winning doesn't mandate that you have to smack talk. Alot of people can win with pride and dignity rather than pressing their arses to the screen. Some are even HUMBLE after they've finished giving you a rocket infusion, and those are the most respectable of all. Just because one wins doesn't mean that one has to be an asshole.

I'd love to tourney the game, but I get to the 'dual suck' situation where I can't stand the control interface for more than an hour (XBox) or the control interface makes two weapons too godly to bother with anything else (PC). If I wanted the latter, I'd likely just play some InstaGIB on UT2003.
