I don't quite understand the flow of your 2nd sentence, about 'pointlessly playtesting alphas'. It seems to be one big contradiction. I could be wrong here... Of course Bungie know how the game will play. I assume you have heard about a 'Design Document'? One of a games company's most closely guarded secrets? They're not going to let any Tom, Dick or Xian look at this document, it gives away the secrets as to why their game is better than any other. > In English? When something is shocking...? I think that Halo is far from shocking, or at least, I think that the majority of this forum think that Halo is far from shocking. We're not discussing it's bad points, we're trying to have some fun talking about a game that is far in the future, using our imagination to fantasise about how damn cool it will be. Strange that you <snipped> my nice bit about the book covers...I thought that that summed up everything I was saying quite nicely...I was looking forward to you ripping it to shreds... Here it is again for you to have fun with... When you first buy a book, you tend to be attracted to the cover, and maybe the crap on the back, but you have no idea how the book will play out. You have to read it first, try it out, see if it fits your style, and then judge. But you are in no way able to judge a book when you first buy it, even if you have read every review of it in existance. Enjoy! mad.max =PN= | |
