That approach sounds good, but could be done even without requireing that it
must be the guy with the pistol to reach the computer. (Oh there's a marine!..
no wait, just an assault rifle, keep hunting the guy with the pistol...)

Any marine should be able to complete the mission, but again, balanced so that
the chances are best served by them working together.

Hmm, I think this should be left as an option to the person gathering. I could
see situations where you might want to just have deathmatch air duels... get
knocked out and you join back in in another craft.

And other times where you want to limit the resources. Yes, people can
respawn, but only so many vehicles.

You know, the thought just struck me that almost any of the Myth multiplayer
games could get worked in here as well as death match, and then advanced...
like some of the Unreal Tournament levels... where one team is trying to
navigate to a goal and the other is trying to prevent them... ala storming a
beachhead fortress...

Mmm, king of the hill, with a bunch of marines crouched behind a jeep, fending
off a sniper, while the remainder of the sniper's forces are readying
themselves to charge up the back of the hillside, gunning their hover craft...

Hmm, think multi-player will have assist bots... Ie, there's six of you
playing, but the computer tossing in an extra bot per person to make larger
squads..

Actually, expanding on this, each team could have a pool of respawns... so a
scenario could be played out of a handful of marines (Very limited number of
respawns per marine, if any) protecting a fort against the covenant with
reinforcements... (the covenant get a pool of 3-4 respawns per player) And
these could be shared... ie, if Fred keeps getting blown up, then none of his
teammates get a chance to respawn...
