If Virtuality worked like that it would be, but by "other realms" I mean something like... maps? Scenarios? To put it in Marathon terminology. Other virtual physical places that users of Virtuality can visit, besides the various tiers of the Sphidiverse. But it's still same Virtuality operated by the same people, and users can come and go from different realms as they please, so it's not like Kron could mind-upload his enemies into his own private virtual hell from which they could never escape or something.

(I mean, I guess if he built his own virtuality server somewhere secret like under Olympus Mons, he could, but that still would've been destroyed along with the rest of Martian civilization when the Berol sacked Sol).

Xio could only put Metis in because she was trapped in his mind before, which Oron is not, and Xio would not ever want to trap anyone in his mind again like he did Metis after the thousands of years of torment that that caused him the first time.

Oron never got rescued from vacuum and is presumed actually dead after a while, long before the Pantheon have space travel again. I should probably work a mention of that somewhere around the end of Pantheon Genesis; something about Oron's mind growing quieter and weaker over time and then dropping out of contact entirely. Presumably his orbit drifted further and further out into the depths of space and he's a popsicle lost somewhere in the Kuiper belt by the time anyone could get a chance to try rescuing him.

Probably. Murdock and his sister are basically the first instances of uncorrupted avatars being conceived since the corruption began, and they only exist because Vis set out specifically to make them as part of her plans, so other ghosts would have just been waiting around for tens of thousands of years if they held out until an uncorrupted avatar was conceived.

I think so, given that a lot of the gods are just given common nouns or adjectives as their names in a lot of myths.

I don't know what Mechanisto is so I can't say for sure, but I'm picturing something with more texture than just a plain disc. Something that looks like, say, the motherships from Independence Day, if they had been manufactured by the Galactic Empire circa A New Hope, and were a few times thicker.
