The idea is that God's first creation was like himself, and ended up rebelling (God explicitly admits he is a jealous one in the bible). Same thing with giving men the ability to be evil; he took from us all the divine gifts as we left the Garden except for his free will. -Shrug-
That's what I've heard, anyway. To be honest I think religion is a sack of shit. Did you ever see this?
